Job Duties:
Drive heavy truck (truck is greater than 26,001 lbs.) to transport commodities. Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly loaded or secured. Inspect motor vehicles. Install parts, assemblies, or attachments in transportation or material handling equipment. Load shipments, belongings, or materials. Maintain vehicles in good working condition. Monitor cargo area conditions. Notify others of emergencies, problems, or hazards. Operate vehicles or material-moving equipment. Read maps to determine routes. Remove debris or damaged materials. Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, lights and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition. Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment. Inspect, repair, and maintain automotive and mechanical equipment and machinery, such as pumps and compressors. Report vehicle or equipment malfunctions. Review documents or materials for compliance with policies or regulations. Review work orders or schedules to determine operations or procedures. Secure cargo. Verify information or specifications.
Special Requirements:
Driver's license and must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days, ability to lift 50 lbs. 40+ hours per week, 9a-5p M-Sat, 30 min lunch break. Workdays/hours vary.
