Job Duties:
Snowmakers will be responsible for basic operation of equipment that forces pressurized air and water through a nozzle. The employee’s duties involve connecting and disconnecting hoses to water sources, moving equipment, and scraping, dislodging, or breaking excess frost, ice, or frozen product from equipment to prevent accumulation using hands and hand tools; adjusting air and water intake to obtain desired consistency and amount of snow; attaching hoses, pipes, fittings, or valves, using hand tools and shutting off valves, and clearing lines of water. Snowmakers must be able to hike and work in extreme cold, inclement weather conditions; must also be able to move equipment up and down snow/ice covered ski slopes by foot and occasionally by snowmobile. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Scheduled hours will include up to 12-hour shifts, and may include overnight, early morning, weekend shifts and/or holiday shifts. Example shifts: 7:00pm to 2:00am and 12:00am to 7:00am. Special Requirements:
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of manual labor experience in a professional environment.
