Swathing, raking, baling, transporting; general winter prep on all machinery and buildings, fashion, prepare, repair, and maintain fences; prepare cows and stockers for wheat pasture, check/repair fence, tag and brand cattle; move all cattle to wheat pasture; perform animal husbandry such as birthing/calving, tagging, processing, daily doctoring, breaking ice, maintain waterers, feeding supplements/hay, load, sort and assess cattle health and well being all from ATV/pickup; must have ability to drive ATV, feed truck, pickup and tractor; move cattle off wheat pasture; breed cattle and watch for breakouts; monitor cows and heifers for pregnancy statue; wean calves; be able to pull and back a trailer, working knowledge of JD Green Star and Raven GPS systems as well as how to use any/all implements required for farming hay, wheat, silage; repair and maintain farm machinery and equipment; clean work areas; haul and spread fertilizer and other materials to condition soil; mix materials and dump solutions or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery; must have or be able to obtain driver's license upon arrival, driving farm vehicle; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite. Must speak and understand English.
Special Requirements:
Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
