Workers will assist with all aspects of crop and livestock production on a grain and cattle operation. Duties include tillage, planting (air drill and row crop), spraying, haying, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, combines, sprayers, grain carts, loaders, and irrigation systems. Tasks also involve routine maintenance, minor repairs, snow removal, grain handling, and livestock feeding and care during winter. Employment is at will; however, a progressive discipline process will be followed—starting with a written warning and followed by termination if no improvement is observed or in cases of serious misconduct.
Special Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain.
