Job Duties:
Tasks involve clearing trays, clearing dirty dishes from tables, sanitizing, disinfecting, wiping and rearranging tables and chairs, organizing and cleaning the Beverage Bar, emptying bus carts, drying, restocking and filling tray and silverware stands, polishing silverware, operating the cash register and accepting payments, barista duties including crafting and serving coffee and other beverages, and ski school lunch buffet set up. Keep an assigned area of the Day Lodge clean, orderly and well presented for Deer Valley Resort guests. Maintain restaurant floor service standards. Greet, assist, direct and anticipate guest needs is required to present the high service level of Deer Valley Resort restaurants. Complete side work as assigned before and after service which includes stocking cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refilling condiment containers. Remain stationed in an assigned area during service hours. Have a working knowledge of beverage station stocking, re-ordering procedures and equipment. Have a thorough knowledge of all Deer Valley services and amenities. Assist other employees when necessary. Efficient operations require teamwork and cooperation with your fellow employees. Assist our guests with any service needs. Refer any sensitive situations to the manager on duty. Report to work in ample time in proper uniform and neatly groomed for the start of your shift. Maintain proper order in designated storage areas. Carefully handle furniture and fixtures when moving them.
Special Requirements:
Utah Food Handlers Permit required. The ability to lift 35 pounds. Background checks are completed in new hire or rehire onboarding with Human Resources. Drug screening is completed randomly, if there is a worksite injury, or if there is damage to Deer Valley property that is more than $150. Multiple daytime shifts between 7:15am - 4:30pm, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with the possibility of staying past 5pm for operational needs, including weekends and holidays. Hourly Wage: $20.00-$25.80 (based on merit and past experience with our company) Overtime may be available at $30.00-$38.70/hr. Possible Wage Increase: Deer Valley offers pay raises based on performance and merit. Each employee receives a performance review at the end of each season, based on these reviews employees will receive a merit from 0% - 5% for the start of the next winter season.
