Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** The landscaper has the potential to apply Ranger Pro, “glysophate”, on crack and crevice spray applications with a hand tank sprayer. The landscaper is not responsible for decision making or record keeping in the use of this product. This is only done in conjunction with a licensed Spray technician who will handle the mixing and the record keeping. No licenses are required beyond the certificate that is received after 30 days of self-performed training due to VA laws and regulations. ***Original F.a.2*** Workers perform a variety of duties in support of lawn and turf care management, to include caring for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. As included in OES Code 37-3011 (Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers), workers may also seed lawns and/or lay sod, mow, water and mix and spray/spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders. Entry level; requires supervision.
Special Requirements:
Requires three months of previous landscape experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Post-hire background checks may be required of foreign and domestic workers based on contract requirements. Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
