Job Duties:
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers must be able to perform a variety of tasks without close supervision, which may include any combination of the following: cleaning and installing mulch or stone to flower beds; removing weeds and grass from mulch and stone beds; trimming shrubs and trees with hand tools; mowing, striping, and edging turf and grass surfaces using string trimers and ride or stand on mowers; removing leaves and debris during fall months; sod laying; planting; watering; fertilizing; digging, and raking. Must exercise independent judgment and may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees. Will maintain time sheets/records for their crew. Crew Leaders who also drive company vehicles between worksites will be paid an extra $.25 per hour (driving is not a requirement of all workers in the position).
Special Requirements:
Requires three months of previous landscape experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Maximum shifts are 12 hours per day. The actual work schedule for each day of the week is subject to change. Not every employee will work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week. An employee may work up to 12 hours per day, but may work alternating days or may work a portion of a 12 hour shift. We will offer at least 40 hours in a typical workweek. Hours in excess of 40 will vary depending on staff and other factors to be evaluated on a daily basis. Must be able to operate zero turn mowers, weed whackers, and backpack blowers. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident. Post-hire background check and employment eligibility (e-Verify) check required of foreign and domestic workers. Driver's license required for workers who drive company vehicles. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
