Job Duties:
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, and removing thatch. Additionally, workers are expected to haul and spread topsoil, mulch, rocks, and sand, as well as assist with the installation of sprinkler systems. Workers may also mix and spray herbicides and insecticides to grass, shrubs, or trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders as needed. Following landscaping and design plans to determine placement of shrubs, trees, and flowers. Load/unload/move landscape materials and tools, as well as debris removal. Maintenance and repair of tools and equipment such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, mowers, trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers, pruning saws, and trenchers.
Special Requirements:
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Employer-paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work and post-hire at random, upon suspicion of use, and post-accident. Driver's license required only of foreign and domestic workers who drive company vehicles (driving is not a requirement of all workers in the position). Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
