Job Duties:
Duties may include: The refrigeration tech is responsible for the upkeep and repair of the facility's ammonia refrigeration systems including: tunnel freezer and blast cell freezers and flake ice making capabilities, plate freezers, ancillary maintenance and repair projects & other related Refrigeration Technician (Cooling and Freezing equipment operators and tenders) activities as per SOC/OES 51-9193 (onetonline.org). Multiple possible shifts: 6:00AM-6:00PM or 6:00PM-6:00AM. Standard/Expected Schedule: - 6:00AM-6:00PM or 6:00PM-6:00AM, Monday-Saturday, based on business needs, with the option of one day off per week. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. shift times dependent on business needs.. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed).
Special Requirements:
Must be 18 due to equipment use. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Delivery and availability of seafood product from fisherman may result in possible downtimes due to weather conditions. Qualified applicants need to be able to read and write in English to follow SOPs and work orders, and to make log entries on system paperwork.
