Job Duties:
Responsible for performing a full range of typical landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks to ensure the health, appearance, and functionality of outdoor spaces. This position focuses exclusively on the care of turf, plants, and landscape features. Primary duties include plant bed installation and ongoing maintenance, dethatching, edging, mulching, lawn aeration, sod installation, mowing, trimming, overseeding, pruning, fertilizing, weeding, applying pest control treatments, and general yard clean-up. May also work with the installation and servicing of irrigation systems, perform lawn grading, or install non-structural hardscape features for landscape enhancement. Experienced workers may serve as Team Lead and oversee work in addition to their regular duties. Work requires regular lifting and carrying of materials up to 50 lbs., including fertilizer, seed, mulch, plants, and landscaping materials. Extensive bending, stooping, lifting, and outdoor work in various weather conditions. Frequent use of standard landscaping hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners), power tools specific to grounds maintenance (string trimmers, augers, sprayers, leaf blowers), and landscaping equipment (lawn mowers, aerators, tillers, wheelbarrows). May use light equipment such as skid steers and mini-excavators strictly for landscaping tasks (e.g., grading, moving soil or mulch).
Special Requirements:
