Job Duties:
Golf Course Maintenance will operate hand mowers on greens, aprons, tees, fairways, rough, lake banks, around tees, and grounds. Exercises extreme care not to injure turf and shrubs, Practices safety while operating equipment and reports equipment or course issues immediately. Edge cart paths, flymo bunker faces, string trim lake banks and around tees, edges, and rakes sand bunkers. Completion of jobs and cleanup of the work area as required. Excavate and backfill trenches with hand tools, operate utility vehicles as required. The worker must ensure that, while operating equipment and hand tools, all necessary safety gear (such as glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats) is worn. Additionally, they should make sure all tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained as required. The workers will clean machines after use and make minor adjustments to the equipment under the supervision of the mechanic. The workers will maintain fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis. Before use, the workers will inspect the equipment and report problems or failures to the supervisor immediately. The worker should remain on cart paths when available and steer clear of high-traffic areas to minimize impact. The worker will assist with project tasks as instructed. The worker must also, pick up trash and debris while performing job duties. Mowing turf using tractors, ride-on machines, and specialist hand mowers. The worker will also be responsible for applying detail to courses, including edging cart paths, bunk faces, lake banks, and around tees; raking sand bunkers. Using eco-friendly turf treatments for weeds, diseases, and pests when instructed. Renovating bunkers and hazards like water features. Applying irrigation and fixing drainage issues. Upkeep and fueling maintenance equipment, checking fluids, reporting issues, and cleaning equipment. Maintaining trees, bushes, and native plants. Excavate trenches with hand tools and operate utility vehicles as needed. Picking up trash and debris and blowing cart paths.
Special Requirements:
Must possess the ability to obtain a Valid state drivers license with a clean driving record. One (1) month of experience and knowledge of groundwork are required. Must have the ability to stand, walk, handle objects with hands, reach with arms, climb or maintain balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. And the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities such as near vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus are required. Must be able to operate hand tools, trimming tools, power tools, and mowing equipment. The worker must be able to work long hours and at flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Works must be capable of working under various weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and humidity. The worker must behave courteously and conscientiously toward golfers and homeowners and practice safety on the job, including performing tasks with minimal disruption to golf course members and guests, returning all equipment to designated locations, and keeping maintenance areas clean and clutter-free. Performing any and all job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Foundational knowledge of golf, including its rules and typical playing conditions. Shows ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve set objectives. The worker must project a positive, professional image, showing self-motivation and consistent, dependable attendance.
