Job Duties:
Duties may include: Mixing and filling sprayer tanks with water, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides according to formulas for application to trees, shrubs and lawns. Start motors and engage machinery, such as sprayer agitators, pumps or portable spray equipment. Identify lawn or plant diseases to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Lift, push, and swing nozzles, hoses, and tubes to direct spray over designated areas. Treat trees, shrubs, lawns and weeds with appropriate treatment, applying knowledge of weather conditions and droplet sizes. Aerate lawns, plant grass with seed spreaders, and operate garden weasel to provide proper soil to seed contact in fall. Clean or service machinery to ensure operating efficiency, using water, gasoline, lubricants, and hand tools. Driving company pickups or vans from shop to client properties. Clean work trucks, vans, and shop to maintain a clean working environment & other related Technician activities as per SOC/OES 37-3012 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work. Start/end times, offered hours and/or overtime could vary as they may be dependent upon other factors such as project/schedule/service needs, weather, and commute time between worksites (if applicable). Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. At Employer’s sole discretion: possible raises and/or bonuses based on individual factors such as work performance or skill (not guaranteed). Optional, shared furnished housing available to the worker (including: Utilities, Wifii) at a monthly housing rate up to $1,100.00; if optional housing is agreed upon by the worker, monthly housing rate is to be paid directly to the landlord each month.
Special Requirements:
Must be 18 due to hazardous materials. Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities such as: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 65lbs (possible 2-person). All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment.Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
