JOB DESCRIPTION:
Roofing Laborer position. 12 Temporary, Full-time positions available with OLD WORLDCRAFTSMEN, INC., from March 14, 2026, to November 30, 2026.DUTIES:
Roofing Helper will assist roofers by performing routine tasks requiring limited skills, under close supervision of experienced roofers. Duties include: Prepare job sites and clean work areas; Sweep, clear, and remove old roofing materials and debris; Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment to job locations; Set up ladders, scaffolds, and hoists for roof access; Assist with covering roofs with layers of roofing felt, asphalt strips, or other underlayment materials; Hand materials or tools to roofers and hold or position items as directed; Nail shingles, tiles, or metal sheets in place and seal nailheads with cement as directed; Apply or spread roofing materials such as tar, asphalt, gravel, or roofing cement under supervision; Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas; Assist with routine maintenance or temporary leak repairs; Perform general labor as directed by the roofing crew leader. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Workers may be exposed to loud noise, hot temperatures, and must wear appropriate protective/safety gear. The job will require the worker to have integrity and attention to detail, and be thorough in completing work tasks, cooperative, and responsible.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The worker will perform physical activities such as lifting, balancing, walking, bending,stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift 65 pounds and have adriver's license.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The standard work schedule is from 7:00 AM until 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday. The workermay be offered more than the stated hours per day, depending on weather and otherconditions. Extreme heat, rain, hurricanes, or drought may affect exact working hours.Work on Saturday may be required when necessary. The wage rate is no less than $21.17 per hour with at least 35 hours per week. Overtime hours are available as needed, varyingfrom 1-10 hours. Overtime rate of pay is $31.76 per hour.
AVAILABILITY OF ON-THE-JOB TRAINING:
The employer will provide on-the-job training to all workers in the proper use andmaintenance of roofing tools and equipment, and roofing tasks. Must report to Supervisor(Foreman).
INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION:
The employer will pay in advance or reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for allvisa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated bythe government (excluding passport fees). For workers outside reasonable commutingdistances, inbound transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging)to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if the worker completes half of theemployment period (50% period), if not already paid in full prior to the 50% period.Return transportation and subsistence will be provided or paid for to same worker if theworker completes the employment period, is dismissed early by the employer except wherethe worker has employment with a subsequent employer, or where the employer hasappropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment.Transportation payments or reimbursements will be equal to the most economical andreasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at arate of at least $16.28 per day of travel or the current minimum subsistence amountpublished in the Federal Register, to a maximum of $68.00 per day or the currentmaximum amount published in the Federal Register to workers with acceptable receipts.
DAILY TRANSPORTATION:
Daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-uplocation will be offered to foreign and non-local U.S. workers. The worker's use of thistransportation is voluntary.
3/4THS GUARANTEE:
The employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of work hours equal to at leastthree-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period,beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place ofemployment and ending on the expiration date specified in this job order or its extension,if any. The employer may include all hours worked as well as any hours offered consistentwith the job order that a worker chooses not to work, up to the maximum number of dailyhours on the job order. If worker separation is due to voluntary abandonment, theemployer will not be responsible for providing or paying return transportation andsubsistence expenses of the worker and the worker is not entitled to the full three-quarterperiod guarantee described above.
PROVISION OF TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, & SUPPLIES:
Employer will provide, without charge, company specific tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform duties assigned.
SINGLE WORKWEEK GUARANTEE & FREQUENCY OF PAY:
The employer will use a single work week as its standard for computing wages due. Theworker will be paid on Friday (bi-weekly) by check.
DEDUCTIONS FROM WORKER'S PAY:
The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law. If needed, employerintends to assist foreign and non-local U.S. workers hired pursuant to this job order tosecure worker-paid lodging not to exceed reasonable fair market value cost based onnumber of occupants. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payrolldeductions.
PROVISIONS OF BOARD, LODGING, OR OTHER FACILITIES:
Employer intends to assist foreign and non-local U.S. workers hired pursuant to this joborder to secure worker-paid lodging not to exceed reasonable fair market value cost basedon number of occupants.

1118 Stuckey Ave., Tallahassee, FL, 32310 and multiple worksites throughout the LeonCounty Florida area and the Lowndes County Georgia area.
