Job Duties:
Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: rock and sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, lawn aerating, raking, sprinkler system installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Spring and fall cleanup. May drive crew vehicle. No driver’s license is required as a condition of employment for the position. If the prospective worker already possesses a standard, noncommercial driver’s license they may be asked to drive a vehicle to job sites, as needed.
Special Requirements:
Ability to labor outdoors for at least 8 hours per day in all weather conditions, including cold, heat, and rain. Schedule varies. Physically fit to perform the job functions which include standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and walking for long periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs. Must be able to lift 75 lbs to shoulder height repetitively throughout the working day. WORKERS MAY BE REQUESTED TO SUBMIT TO RANDOM DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTS AT NO COST TO THE WORKER. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUEST OR TESTING POSITIVE MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION. ALL TESTING WILL OCCUR POST-HIRE AND IS NOT A PART OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS. NEGATIVE RESULT MAY BE REQUIRED POST-HIRE AND BEFORE COMMENCING WORK. REQUIRES MINIMUM 3 MONTHS WORK EXPERIENCE AS A LANDSCAPING & GROUNDSKEEPING WORKER. MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD. Workers will begin each day at the worksite address. They will then be transported, free of charge, to properties located throughout the area of intended employment, to perform duties. They will then be transported back to the worksite address at the end of each work day.
