Job Duties:
Workers on this application must follow all production protocols and procedures to maximize sow and gilt production efficiencies. They must be willing to learn specialized skills necessary for smooth workflow and become skilled employees in animal husbandry to reduce herd stress and maximize production. Employees will follow daily task sheets in their department to achieve production targets, complete production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, adhere to all biosecurity protocols, and provide input to the lead person in their area regarding any items out of compliance. Workers are expected to collaborate with other team members in their designated area to ensure biosecurity audit deficiencies are corrected and brought into compliance promptly. Workers who possess a valid driver's license and meet all applicable legal requirements, including holding a doctor's certificate as required by 29 CFR § 500.105, may be asked to drive vehicles for transporting workers, goods, or commodities on company business. This task is voluntary, compensable, and not a mandatory job duty. Workers without a valid driver's license or doctor's certificate will still be fully eligible for employment and are not disqualified from any other job responsibilities outlined in this application. The employer can and will make alternative arrangements for the transportation of workers should the need arise. All workers that have a valid driver's license must agree to and comply with the employer's fleet policy agreement prior to driving any company vehicles. Workers shall not drive a company vehicle unless written permission is provided to employee. Drivers may be entitled to additional compensation for properly maintaining company vehicles.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds. Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures. Background check conducted through ADP if worker has a U.S Social Security Number. The employer reserves the right to conduct a background check post-hire at the employers expense IF the employer deems it necessary. Employer reserves the right after employment to ask any employee at the employer's expense to take a blood or urine test to determine whether he/she is under the influence of controlled substances, illegal drugs or alcohol. Any employee who declines to take or fails this drug test will be terminated and paid for all hours worked, if any.
