Job Duties:
Workers will perform agricultural services and labor customarily performed on a working farm in support of crop and livestock operations. Duties include operating agricultural equipment and machinery used for soil preparation, planting, irrigation-related field work, harvesting of feed and silage crops, and land application of manure as part of normal farming practices. Workers will operate tractors and related farm implements, harvest equipment, loaders, skid steers, manure spreaders, and similar equipment to support routine field and farm operations. Workers will conduct routine pre-operation and post-operation equipment checks and perform basic maintenance and servicing using standard hand and power tools, including lubrication, adjustments, and minor repairs consistent with normal farm practices. Duties also include transporting farm materials, water, and supplies within the farm operation as part of agricultural activities. Workers are required to follow established farm safety procedures at all times, particularly during equipment operation, lifting, and handling of agricultural commodities. Workers will coordinate with other workers during daily agricultural operations to ensure safe, orderly, and efficient completion of assigned tasks. All duties are limited to agricultural functions performed on the farm and do not include non-agricultural work. Employees will be provided with adequate breaks, including meal and rest periods, consistent with applicable Federal, State, and local law, during the course of each workday.
Special Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion. Operator License Class D Candidate will have 60 days to obtain. Skill Level II Experienced LevelPursuant to the Interim Final Rule (IFR) implementing the new four-level wage system for H-2A occupations, the employer designates this position as Skill Level II Experienced Level, indicating that the job requires prior related experience, independent judgment in performing recurring tasks, and the ability to work with limited supervision.
