Job Duties:
Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Maintain farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Use hand tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, or precision instruments, as well as power tools, such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, or jacks and hoists. Dismantle defective machines to be sent out for repair, using hand tools. Record details of repairs and parts used. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Operation of various tractors and farm equipment to perform custom silage packing, roller milling, and manure spreading. Equipment that employees will operate includes but is not limited to various tractors, loaders, roller mills, and trucks. Perform general maintenance, minor repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, and all farm equipment. Ensure operational areas are organized and well maintained. Use hand tools and equipment to make minor repairs and clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and agricultural equipment. Regularly service equipment, blowing out equipment and fueling equipment. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Farming with: sileage, manure spreading. No CDL Required and no commercial truck driving required.
Special Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Repetitive movements is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
