Job Duties:
Duties may include: Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Clean work areas, and maintain grounds and landscaping. Pistachios: Remove broken limbs or extra trash from bins. Almonds: Rake excess almonds left behind from uneven ground conditions to the middle of row so they are able to be picked up. Check irrigation lines for watering & other related General Farm Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The CA Overtime language of $25.35/hour for hours 8–12 daily, over 40 in a workweek, and the first 8 hours on a 7th consecutive day. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
Special Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 25lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Variable weather conditions may apply. Bonus potential based on work performance at the sole discretion of the employer.
