Job Duties:
Workers will perform agricultural duties related to the production of potato crops. Primary responsibilities include assisting with field preparation, planting, cultivating, irrigating, and harvesting potatoes. Workers will help prepare soil through tillage activities, plant seed potatoes, and assist with monitoring crop growth throughout the season. Workers will perform irrigation duties including setting up, maintaining, and monitoring irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of potato fields. During the growing season, workers will assist with field maintenance, including removing debris, maintaining rows, and supporting overall crop health. At harvest, workers will assist with digging, collecting, sorting, and loading potatoes. Duties include handling harvested crops, removing damaged product, and preparing potatoes for storage or transport. Workers will operate and assist with farm equipment and machinery such as tractors and implements used in planting, cultivating, and harvesting potatoes. Additional duties include general farm maintenance such as mowing, cleaning work areas, and performing minor repairs or upkeep of equipment and facilities. Workers may also assist with receiving, washing, sorting, and storing harvested potatoes, as well as loading and unloading agricultural products for transport. All duties will be performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements. Workers must follow all safety protocols and perform all assigned duties as directed by the employer. Workers must have 2 months of related verifiable work experience.
Special Requirements:
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. The employer may request additional work hours based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity. Use of electronic devices during work hours is restricted to emergencies only.
