Job Duties:
Ski Instructors Level 3 will be responsible for teaching alpine skiing to students of any age or ability, using PSIA/AASI teaching methodology, following mountain safety codes, planning, organizing, and implementing appropriate ability zone plans for each ski lesson.
Special Requirements:
A current Level III PSIA Alpine certification or foreign equivalent. 1500 hours (approximately 9 full-time months) of experience teaching alpine skiing. Background checks are completed in new hire or rehire onboarding with Human Resources. Drug screening is completed randomly, if there is a worksite injury, or if there is damage to Deer Valley property that is more than $150. On-the-Job Training provided. Will Train. Days and Shifts: Multiple daytime shifts between 8:30am - 4pm, including weekends and holidays. Hourly Wage: $31.00-$57.02 per hour (based on merit and past experience with our company) Overtime Possible: Overtime may be available at $46.50-$85.53 per hour. Possible Wage Increase: Deer Valley offers pay raises based on performance and merit. Each employee receives a performance review at the end of each season, based on these reviews employees will receive a merit from 0% - 5% for the start of the next winter season.
