Job Duties:
***RFI response*** Some of our guest rooms have balconies, which sometimes accumulate snow in the winter season. In such cases, and only where our Engineering Department does not at first assist, Housekeepers use a shovel to clear the snow from the balcony. No other snow removal is required outside of guest balconies. A shovel, snowpants, jackets, hats and gloves are provided. ***Original*** The Housekeeper will be accountable for performing all daily tasks associated with housekeeping duties including, but not limited to: cleaning and resetting guest bedroom, bathroom, and public areas; changing linens; making beds; conducting turndown service in the evenings; organizing collateral on tables; straightening furniture; cleaning; dusting and vacuuming of rooms and public areas; emptying trash; stocking satellite closets; providing and retrieving linen supplies; being courteous and helpful to Hotel guests, including reporting any guest requests or preferences; pushing bulk truck loaded with dirty linen; clearing snow from guest room balconies and other outdoor areas (employer provides appropriate cold weather gear to ensure safety and comfort); replenish and restocking room attendant cart, pushing/pulling room attendant cart, and completing tasks in a timely manner.
Special Requirements:
While performing the duties of the job, the Housekeeper is required to stand, walk; handle or feel objects, tools, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl; talk, hear; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and sometimes lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to exert physical effort in being able to clean several rooms or areas per shift.
