Job Duties:
Worker will be performing job duties related to SOC code 53-7064 Packer and Packager, job duties will include but not be limited to: Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Load hoppers to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, and other equipment. Place products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing and shipping. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Screen products to remove foreign or undesirable matter. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Remove snow and ice from work areas as needed. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi’s and drive to market. Operate fans and dryers to maintain proper moisture levels, document changes moisture and grade levels.
Special Requirements:
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
