Job Duties:
**RFI Response** “Snow removal is performed by using non-truck-mounted equipment, including walk-behind snow blowers, compact snow removal machines, and manual snow shovels for clearing sidewalks and driveways. These portable, hand-operated machines are transported to work areas and used to remove accumulated snow and ice. This equipment is not** truck mounted. Please note the make and model of snow removal equipment used below: • Ventrac with snow plow and drop salt spreader • Boss snow rator sidewalk plow • Toro walk behind snow blower • Toro walk behind snow broom • Turf Teq walk behind snow broom • John Deere compact tractor with snow plow • Hand shovels and hand push spreaders to spread salt” **Original** Perform commercial and residential snow/ice maintenance including winter storm clean-up, trash/debris pickup, and snow/ice removal and dormant tree/shrub winter pruning. Use hand tools and equipment such as ice picks, shovels, and blowers. Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, or parking areas, using snowplows, snow blowers, or snow shovels, or spread snow-melting chemicals. Clean and perform routine maintenance and/or minor repairs on equipment and tools when not in use.
Special Requirements:
Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. The job will require the worker to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, extensive bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling required. Post-hire upon suspicion of use and post-accident drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers. Driver's license required only of foreign and domestic workers who drive company vehicles (driving is not a requirement of all workers in the position). Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
