Job Duties:
***RFI Response*** The worker may be assisting in clean/washing or prepare various foods for cooking or serving with standard kitchen tools such as knives, peelers, cutting boards, and scoops. Duties focus on safe handling, storage, and basic preparation of ingredients rather than cooking or assembling finished food items. They will be stocking/organizing supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or freezers. This will include unpacking boxes and storing food in containers along with labeling supplies. All tasks will be completed under the supervision of kitchen staff. The workers will be sanitizing workspace and kitchen in preparation for the kitchen staff. This includes sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces and setting up work stations. These duties are taken directly from the Department of Labor's O*NET description for SOC Code 35-2021 and refers to the tasks associated with food preparation/kitchen staff work. ***Original F.a.2*** Duties may include: Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, and provide cooks with needed items. Assist host by clearing tables and seating patrons. Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving. Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware. Load dishes, glasses, and tableware into dishwashing machine. Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers & other related Food Preparation Worker activities as per SOC/OES 35-2021 (onetonline.org).
Special Requirements:
Must be 18 due to state labor laws.Must show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs.
