Job Duties:
As a server, worker will take customers food and alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages orders including communicating with customers regarding orders, comments, and complaints, and will deliver those orders to the customers. Contributing to a great member and guest dining experience by providing excellent customer service, a robust understanding of the menu and drink pairings, and attention to detail during the members dining experience. The workers must ensure that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines, such as those for special diets or allergies are followed. The server will check in with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Workers will need to monitor supplies or food items and restock them as necessary to maintain inventory. The worker will keep a record of the amounts and types of foods and beverages served to the customers. Enter all transactions accordingly into SOP system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely and according to policies and procedures. Ensure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accurately and consistent with the departments SOP. The workers will perform cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, wiping tables, washing dishes, picking up trash, and cleaning the work area, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary. Report any maintenance and/or safety issues promptly to the Restaurant Manager.
Special Requirements:
At least 6 months of Food & Beverage server experience at a fine dining or high-volume environment at private club, hotel or resort preferred. Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards; Possesses or can obtain State/Local Food Safety Certificate with support from the employer (if applicable). Robust knowledgeable of wines and beverage. Must work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holiday and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length. Worker may be required to work breakfast, lunch or dinner shift. Must read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors, including assisting with the cost. standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than four (4) hours, and lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing and pulling. Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.
