Job Duties:
As Landscaper, workers will Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, grass trimmers, and pruning shears. Workers perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Workers may operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers and tractors. Workers will gain a basic understanding of the operation of skid steers and mini excavators but will not perform excavation or grading tasks independently. These machines are used by trained equipment operators for limited landscaping support activities. The equipment used includes skid steers similar to Kubota SVL75-2 and mini excavators similar to John Deere 35G. Excavation activities performed by operators in connection with landscaping tasks are typically shallow, generally not exceeding 2 to 3 feet in depth, for purposes such as planting trees, installing irrigation systems, or setting small retaining walls. Workers may assist with yard cleanup, leaf removal, mulch installation or replacement, and other general landscaping duties. Employer provides 90 days of on-the-job training.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. for 75 yards throughout the day. Ability to pass random or post-accident drug screening paid for by Employer.
