Job Duties:
Performs one or more repetitive jobs on an assembly table and/or line to produce wooden roof and floor trusses used in residential, agricultural, and light commercial buildings. Assemble precut pieces of material in a set pattern. Position and fasten specified connectors over connecting joints using hand tools and equipment including a hammer, staple gun, bander, and tape measure. Press assembled trusses if needed; splice, nail, stack, label, band and prepare finished trusses for delivery. Maintain work area and keep it clean. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum 40 hours per week. Work schedule may vary, normal 5-day schedule Monday – Thursday from 3:30pm – 1:00am with 30-minute unpaid meal break. Friday from 12:00pm – 4:00pm with no meal break. Alternate work schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 3:30pm with 30-minute unpaid meal break. Friday from 6:00am-10:00am with no meal break. Work days and shift time may vary due to customer demand. 21.64 per hour Employer reserves the option to provide additional compensation for performance and tenure or may increase wages based on changes in market conditions. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at 32.46 per hour based on locality the work is performed and the base rate of pay offered per hour. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Paid weekly. Employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform job.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including holidays as required. Able to lift/carry up to 50lbs on a routine basis and up to 75lbs when necessary. Able to stand for 9-12 hours per day. Job requires repetitive bending and lifting. Able to read a tape measure. Able to learn how to read truss assembly drawings. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary.
