Job Duties:
Maintain and repair fence in pastures for 4,000 acres. Assist with putting up alfalfa and grashay (5,000 round bales of hay; 2,000 square bales plus 1,000 straw bales). Run cutter, rake,and baler. Haul hay from the field to home yard with pick-up and trailer. Use loader tractor and skid steer to pile manure in the feedlot and calving barns. Pressure wash feedlot processing barn. Help prepare and assist with weaning of 450 calves. Assist with breeding cows and hauling out to pastures. Maintain mineral and creep feed. Ride horse or 4-wheeler through pasture at least once a week. Pull out sick or hurt livestock to treat them with antibiotics and return to pasture again. Special Requirements:
Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Workers must have positive verifiable experience relevant to the job and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks. Workers must be able to speak English. Employees must adhere to strict biosecurity, company policies, and food safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Certain roles may require a valid drivers license within 30 days of hire and a clean driving record for operating company vehicles.
