Job Duties:
We need seasonal employees to assist with our corn, beans, sugar beets, and carrot production season. Employees will be required to assist with all assigned duties related to these crops. Duties include attaching farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors using bolts and hand tools; operating tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, manure spreaders, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; engaging in planting, weeding, spraying, cultivating, and harvesting activities; applying fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus, weeds, and diseases using hand sprayers or other application equipment; installing, maintaining, and repairing pivot irrigation systems; manipulating controls to set, activate, and adjust equipment mechanisms; observing and listening to machinery during operation to detect malfunctions; driving farm semi-trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools; inspecting, adjusting, and completing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment; completing maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems; recording agricultural data as required; and performing general farm maintenance as needed. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer.
Special Requirements:
Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug-free workplace policy. Failure of a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony or theft-related criminal background, as required by workplace safety policies and company hiring practices, as allowed by law. Job requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. Employee must possess a valid regular driver's license.
