Job Duties:
Workers will operate agricultural equipment used in the field in connection with growing, planting, and harvesting vegetable crops. Workers must be able to operate tractors and other farm machinery used in the field to prepare the ground for agricultural activity, fertilize soil, and cultivate and spray crops. Group preparation includes leveling, disking, and ripping fields, using land planes, and chisel-plowing fields. Workers must further be able to: haul and spread fertilizer and other materials; plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water plants; and operate tractors and other field farm equipment used in connection with cultivation and harvesting activities. Workers may perform other field operations tasks and duties under SOC Code 45-2091. Related duties may be assigned. Work is performed outdoors in highly varied weather conditions. Frequent walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling is required. Being on one’s feet for long periods of time is required. Sitting in, standing in, and/or operating field agricultural equipment for long time periods is required. Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry weight up to 50 pounds is required. Dexterity to use and manipulate field agricultural equipment is required. Vision, focus, and cognitive ability to accomplish the functions above is required.
Special Requirements:
Workers must have 30 days verifiable experience performing the job duties under Section A(8)(a). Work schedules may be subject to change where weather, crops, or business needs demand. Work schedules, crew assignments, and assigned work tasks are ultimately at the sole discretion of the employer. For purposes of meeting the guarantee, workers will not be required to work more than the number of hours specified in this job order or on their Sabbath or Federal holidays. Workers must comply with the employers work rules and housing rules, which are set forth in full in this job order.
