Job Duties:
Load and unload dishwashing machine; clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils and other kitchen equipment. Store/stock cleaned wares, utensils and equipment in designated areas. Clean work areas; clean dishwashing machine and change water/filters; maintain cleanliness and working condition of garbage disposal; clean garbage compactor and area as assigned. Load silver into burnishing (polish) machine and/or paste polish designated wares; clean burnishing machine. Set up wares for dining outlets and banquets, organize the breakdown area for drop off of dirty wares. Transport supplies and food to service areas and assist the kitchen with plating up of banquet meals by providing silverware, plates and covers for the culinary team to plate the meals; stack the plated meals in the banquet cabinet cart and push the cart to the banquet areas. The kitchen helper will move supplies (silverware, dishes, pans and utensils) by pushing a banquet cabinet cart. Remove/retrieve soiled wares from the kitchen line and banquet service area and transport to the dishwashing station. Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters. Clean spills in kitchen and work areas, clean floors with broom, mop, buffer, etc. Kitchen Helper will push (transport) wheeled plastic trash cans with lids from kitchen and work areas to dumpster; empty and clean. The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Open 7 days a week, 5-day work schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Normal shift times: 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm, 3pm-11:30pm, 4pm-12:30am. Shifts include 30-minute unpaid break time. Hours and shift times may vary with occupancy. Employer may increase wage based on experience, change in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. One meal per shift provided at no cost to employee. Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $23.28 wage per hour. Worker is responsible for their own daily transportation to and from the worksite.
Special Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Must be able to continuously bend/stoop and stand/walk for majority of shift. Must be able to work a flexible 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
