Job Duties:
Bellhops will be responsible for receiving and marking baggage, greeting incoming guests and escorting them to their rooms, transporting guests by golf cart about premises, maintaining clean lobbies or entrance areas, handling guest complaints, and transferring luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, vehicles, or transportation terminals, by hand or using baggage carts. Bellhops may need to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
Special Requirements:
The petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least three (3) months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club. Individuals who did not work for the company within the last 90 days before their new start date must complete pre-employment background check and drug screening. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must have or be able to attain driver license to drive golf carts. Must have or be able to get ServSafe Certification. Must complete Human Trafficking Training and Blood Borne Pathogens Training upon Hire. Must have or be able to get CPR/First Aid Certification. On-the-Job Training provided. Will Train. Days and Shifts: Following Shifts are available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Work hours from: 7:00am-3:30pm / 11:00am-7:30pm / 3:00pm-11:30pm / 11:00pm-7:30am, shift hours may vary based on the time of the season, daylight, and need. Hourly wages: The Bellhop position is considered a tipped position since the position will receive more than $30 a month in tips. However, the employer will not claim a tip credit. In addition to an hourly rate of $11.98, the position is eligible to receive a portion of their wages from service charges (commissions) charged to customers and any tips the employee receives directly from the customer. The company guarantees that each worker will receive enough in hourly pay and service charges (commissions) to earn at least a minimum of $15.91 per hour - 7i Exempt. Overtime: The service charges the workers receive are considered a commission. Under the FLSA section 207(i) if certain conditions are met the workers are exempt from overtime pay. However, if these conditions are not met, overtime pay will be paid at one and one-half times the regular rate for hours worked over 40 in the workweek, at no less than the guaranteed rate of $15.91 * 1.5 per hour. Employees may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of a discretionary season-end bonus, as well as service charges.
