Job Duties:
Duties may include: Duties include but are not limited to the following: Grain cleaning and snow removal. Examine equipment to locate and diagnose malfunctions. Dismantle defective machines for repair. Repair or replace defective parts. Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making djustments, as necessary. Clean and lubricate parts. Test and replace electrical components. Tune or overhaul engines. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. This job is spent primarily in the shop. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
Special Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show proof of legal authorization to work in the United States. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 20lbs; may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/refusal to abide = dismissal. Variable weather conditions may apply.
