Job Duties:
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in Soc Code 53-3032 Heavy Tractor and Trailer Truck Drive such as: Drive semi-trailer combination to deliver grain to market ports; Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure; Maneuver into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned; Drive to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations; Plan or adjust routes based on changing winter conditions such as ice, sleet, snow; Perform safety checks and inspections as well as related repairs; Make and answer calls, take messages; Packing samples and equipment that need to be mailed; Keep spreadsheets up to date as well as compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports; Count, weigh, measure, or organize materials, composing letters and emails, copying and scanning documents; Maintain and organize scale tickets as associated with loads.
Special Requirements:
Two (2) months of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
