Job Duties:
Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties found in SOC Code 53-7064 Packers and Packagers, Job duties include but are not limited to: Examine and inspect containers, materials, or products to ensure that produce quality and packing specifications are met; Operate and monitor grain conditioning equipment to ensure efficient and safe conditioning of grain to meet quality standards. Operate fans and equipment to condition grain and maintain proper temperature and moisture levels. Load to feed machines with products, using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, and other equipment. Weigh crop-filled containers, and record weights and other identifying information. Place products in containers according to grade. Weigh products or estimate their weight, visually or by feel. Discard inferior or defective products or foreign matter, and place acceptable products in containers for further processing. Guide products to regulate flow through machines, and to discard diseased or rotten products. monitor and report grain moisture and grades. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning conditioning equipment, storage areas, and surrounding facilities. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team. Load semi; drive to ports and terminals. Assist in the management and preservation of wildlife habitat on the farm during the migration of waterfowl and deer such as: maintaining wire; removing debris; servicing wetlands; controlling weed pressure; inspect and record wildlife population; maintain adequate levels in ponds and wetland reserve program; Perform manual labor necessary to develop, maintain, or protect areas such as forested areas, woodlands, wetlands Must be able to speak and understand English
Special Requirements:
Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a drug test at no cost to the worker and be subject to the employers drug free and alcohol free workplace policy including testing protocols. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
