Job Duties:
Cooks II who will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food items in a cafeteria or food court-style restaurant, performing “spot” checks on lower level cooks to ensure recipes and cleaning guidelines are being followed, preparing kitchen stations for shifts, including preparation of backups, sanitizer bins, and general organization of the kitchen area, cleaning and inspecting kitchen equipment, rotating and storing food supplies according to food safety guidelines and manager’s instruction, following procedures to create a safe work environment for themselves and others, and assisting team members to ensure the best quality of food and cleanliness in the kitchen. Cooks II may be required to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Special Requirements:
The petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least six (6) months of culinary experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. On-the-Job Training provided. Will Train. Following Shifts available 7 days a week including weekends and holidays. Work hours from: 07:00am to 04:00pm; 08:00am to 05:00pm; 09:00am to 06:00pm, shifts based on the time of the season, daylight, and need. Hourly Wage: $21.50 to $25.75 per hour (We offer $21.50 to start, we offer a 3% merit increase to returning employees) Overtime may be available at $32.25 to $38.63 per hour. Raises may be given based on merit and experience. Bonus: Employees who meet their seasonal commitment will receive an End of Season bonus calculated at .50/hour worked through the season and distributed the month following our closing date. Criminal Background Check required Post-Hire to move into A-Basin Housing.
