Job Duties:
As a Laundry Attendant, the worker is responsible for operating commercial washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. The worker must sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize resort linens according to type and handling instructions while inspecting linens for damage or stains and reporting any issues to the supervisor. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry area is essential, along with ensuring the proper use of detergents, chemicals, and other cleaning supplies. The worker should keep track of laundry loads to meet daily quotas, follow all safety, sanitation, and resort policies, assist with the inventory of linens and laundry supplies, and support housekeeping staff as needed with linen delivery and collection.
Special Requirements:
The worker must have the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. While previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required, good attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and quality are essential. The candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude are also necessary. Must have basic English skills.
