Job Duties:
Restaurant Servers will be responsible for greeting customers, setting tables in the dining areas, taking and placing orders, carrying trays and plates, serving food and beverages, cleaning and clearing tables, providing suggestions based on menu knowledge, providing detailed descriptions of menu items including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine or beverage pairings, accommodating special requests on dietary restrictions, upselling menu items like high-margin drinks, food specials, or bottled water, and promoting daily specials, seasonal menus, or signature dishes. Restaurant Servers will also be responsible for processing guest orders through Vineta Hotel’s POS system, collaborating with Bartenders and Kitchen Hoteliers to ensure timeliness of food and beverage service as well maintaining the hotel’s standards, communicating with the Stewarding department to ensure that all cutlery and glassware are stocked and ready for service, ensuring safety protocols in compliances with all legal regulations regarding alcohol service, assisting with side duties including restocking service areas and maintaining dining room aesthetics by ensuring that the tables and dining room ware, such as silverware, glassware, and china are set up according to the hotel’s standards, and reporting any safety or maintenance issues to managers. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM, or 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM. Shift hours may vary. Please see attached job description for additional information.
Special Requirements:
The Petitioner will consider for employment any person who possesses at least six (6) months of service experience in a fine-dining or high-volume environment at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employers expense.
